Should you dye your locs or not?

Hey.

I have been a big fan of colour especially gold/blonde on my locs. In 2012, I sure did not know much about colour. In 2013, I thought that you can only colour the tips.

Over the years of my loc journey, my locs were covered with build up because of  using too much wax. After I coloured them, they looked better. This brings me to share with you some reasons that could make you want to colour your locs.

1. To cover up lint and build up.

Lint is the white strands of fabric that stick to your hair if its not well protected. Build up is the whitish stuff stuck to your locs due to too much wax or the use of the wrong products.

2. The cool look.

Its 2017, everything about colour is cool. I used to see only gold or brown locs. Now people are doing green, red, blue, ombre among others. Well I am always tempted to try the green one.

3. Helps you to listen to your hair.

Dye will break make your  hair weak and dry. So if you dye it, you will need to moisturize your locs more often. Thats exactly what locs need everyday,  to be moisturized.

4. To hide gray hairs.

If you have some grey hairs, dying it will be a good decision. It will give you that uniformity of colour all round.

6. Its exciting!

They say life is short right? So why not experiment with some colours? Lets colour this life.

So are you compelled to try out some colours?

Lots of love.

Yours loc head,
Mesh.

5 BABY LOCS STYLES

Hello peeps. I must admit this rain and the cold got me really bad. My fingers get numb everytime I start typing. Just kidding. I missed you anyway. So this past two days I have been having a rough time trying to keep my baby locs down. I know, they just want to stay up. So I came up with a few styles to get you through the awkward stages of baby locs.  This is a simple style.Just hold up a few locs at the back then use a head band to hold them in place. You don't have to stress over your one month or two months old locs.   Another style for baby locs is the mohawk. This one is pretty simple too and will go with any outfit for many ocassions.  Another style is using head bands to accesorize. You can have them in different colours. This will go well with starter locs.  You can  also use  a head band with a bow to add style to your locs. Especially if you have thick hair or locs.   You can also simply put a flower on the side to bring a simple ...

What is the difference between dreadlocs, sisterlocs and brotherlocs?

DREADLOCS Dreadlocs are simply hair that has been matted together and can be formed using various methods. SISTERLOCS They are smaller than dreadlocs and their installation takes longer than that of dreadlocs.Probably twice or thrice longer. BROTHERLOCS Brotherlocs are similar to sisterlocs but are a bit larger although smaller than traditional locs. Can you unlock dreadlocs, sisterlocs and brotherlocs? Some people claim its possible but in real sense its difficult and leads to too much breakage. Most people just chop off their locs when they don't want them anymore. So what kind of locs do you have? Stay blessed!
